To really get your eyes—as well as yourself—noticed, consider the following tips:

- If your eyes are sensitive, try switching to hypoallergenic make-up.
- Any sprays—like perfume, deodorant, and hairspray—should go on before inserting contact lenses. Apply hand lotions after your contacts are in.
- Insert your contact lenses before any make-up goes on. Wash and dry your hands before you touch your contact lenses, as it's the fastest and easiest way to avoid getting bacteria, germs, and other nasty stuff into your eyes.
- If you wear eyeliner, go for a soft pencil. They don't flake as much as hard pencil eyeliners.
- Take your contacts out before taking off your make-up. Remember again to wash and dry your hands before doing this.
- Make-up can stick to contact lenses—causing blurring, itching, and drying. Rubbing the contact lens immediately upon removal is the best way to remove make-up particles. Remember each time you remove your contact lenses they should be cleaned and disinfected according to the directions for use.
